Daddy's Day

Roger celebrated his 2nd Daddy's Day...and it was TWICE as good this year, with 2 little ones! YAY! We had a great day! Mom and Dad Sivula came over and Roger grilled us quite a feast of Tenderloin Steaks, Roasted Corn on the Cob and Potatoes (Grilled sweet potatoes for me and mom and baked potatoes for the boys!). It was AWESOME! And what more can you ask for than to top off the dinner with Apple Pie!! YUM! And to start Father's Day off right, the kids and I surprised Roger with a new Grill! He loves it, as do I...grilled out all week! :) I also have a very talented friend that makes custom glasses, and she painted three beautiful Beer Pilsners for our two Dads and one for Roger. All three were spectacular!

Happy Father's Day to my two TERRIFIC Dads, and my AMAZING Husband, who is such an awesome Daddy to Caitlin and Jake! I am such a lucky girl!

Precious Photos in Jake's 2 Baptism Outfits

We were so busy on the actual Baptism day to capture some sweet photos of him in his 2 traditional outfits. Some of the photos are of Jake in the Baptismal Suit that Roger wore 31 years ago, when he was baptized. The other photos are of him in the Baptismal Gown that I wore (4 generations of cousins wore), made out of my Great Grandmother Eastman's 1928 Wedding gown. Thus, 4 generations and 82 years...quite a legacy. We were so proud for Jake to share in both of these traditions, and be baptized in both outfits.

Jake's Baptism

Sunday, we had a very small but nice Baptism gathering for Jake. Father Paul Osterle came in from New Orleans to bless and baptize our little boy. Caitlin was the happy big sister and had a great time! May God bless our children each and every day!

My 30th Birthday

My 30th Birthday was a nice day. We had a nice visit with my great Aunt and Uncle early in the afternoon; Then we went and visited my mom in the hospital (she is doing better and hopefully will be released soon); and ended the evening with dinner at Wasabi, a Japanese Steakhouse and homemade funfetti cake, by Roger at home. I couldn't ask for a better day with the family! SIDENOTE: The 2010 candles on the cake, are to signify my 20-10 birthday...not my 30th! LOL! Roger humors me very well!

Part 2 to the Surprise Party: 90210 Themed Party

Once we concluded our bowling festivities, we went back to Dianne's house and had part two...my second obsession...90210 themed party! There were posters up and the theme song playing...all that was missing was a WBEVHI93 sign (trivia to those who watched the show). It was great...and oh how my friends and hubby know me so well! Love you all!

My Surprise 30th Birthday Party!

Roger organized an AMAZING 30th Birthday surprise for me on the Saturday before my birthday. He invited my closest friends for a 'Tacky Sports Fan' themed birthday party at a bowling alley...and topped it off by giving me a John Elway Classic Jersey...never had one but always wanted one! What a great start to being 30!
